Megatron started violently, and shoved the Autobot Commander away from him as if the red mech were infected with scraplets. Optimus fell onto his repair platform in a groaning clash of metal.

"Ratchet, you sneaking little slag-sucker!" the Decepticon swore, "How long have you been spying?"

"Spying is for amateurs," the Autobot doctor retorted. "I'm your Medic. I know all." He strode up to the two mechs, stopping beside his crumpled Commander.

Mask

Scene i

Before...

A preternatural stillness lay across all Cybertron. The deep thud of artillery, the high shriek of small-arms fire, the crackle of laser blasts: all had fallen silent. The planet waited in anxious expectation.

With a sudden, resounding crack, a little chunk of slag crumpled beneath the crushing weight of a massive, metallic knee. It skittered in a hundred tiny pieces down the rubble-strewn slope.

OMP. Look. I got to color this. Thank you, thank you, thank you

. I have loved this picture from the first time I saw it. And the fact that Guido let me practice on it is such a huge deal to me. He is one of my main top Art Gods. I am so, so grateful.

As always, I wish I'd done better.

But the things I did that I liked are:
--Ye olde complimentary colored pencil juicy bits trick.
I actually put bright green on the tops of all the bits of glop on him. It was almost a joke at first, but then I did the

face, and went to town with it.
--I tried to keep the color pallete dull. It got brighter toward the end, simply to keep everything from mudding together. But I did start out with much different colors than the usual. Which is always fun.

Markers and colored pencil on textured taupe-colored cardstock.

Of course my eyes ignore all the awesome detail(which is super duper awesome) and goes off and spots distant figures in the top left...who are they?

The sad thing is, I don't know! I haven't had the chance to read this particular comic book yet! (Infestation II)
Guido did put in a lot of delicious detail.

The lights and gradients in this are GORGEOUS, hon! 8D A marvelous addition to the piece Guido put together. Poor Prime took a big fall, it seems like. Megs is very likely chortling at him from afar.

The subdued colour scheme really suits him, and is that a little crowd I spy I see up in the top left?

Did you know that yes, there are toys for the HoS series? The Seekers (though they be on the Wrong Team) are glorious

I think this is offline-for-umpty-million-years-Prime from G1, and those dudes on the hill are going to revive him. (Haven't read it yet, but I assume.)
What a wake-up call: "Hey Mr. Prime, haul your aft outta bed -- we need you to fight Cthulhu...!"

I have seen the HoS toys. I lust after the Shockwave one SO BAD IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. Like trying to justify the pricetag lust.
