I would make a mad dash, jump through the window, and try to hotwire the truck (if it's even possible) and then go on a glorious joyride.

Meanwhile, poor Optimus was trying to settle in for a nap in a human-made structure, and rudely awoken to the sound of several thousand people milling around him, some poking, some prodding, and some screaming gleefully to Primus. Like any soldier who suddenly finds themselves surrounded, he took the most reasonable course of action.
He played possum through the entire convention.
